In order to fill four vacant administrative positions at the recently renovated university campus in Jorhat, Assam, the official Jagannath Barooah University Recruitment 2026 notification has been made public. Controller of Examinations, Deputy Registrar, Deputy Controller of Examinations, and Finance Officer are among the open unreserved jobs. Candidates may apply if they have a Master’s degree with at least 55% of the possible Marks and expertise in financial management or higher education administration. Qualification: Post-Graduate  at least 55 % Marks

Salary : 1,44,200 Rs – 2,18,200 Rs

Experience :  At least 15 years of experience as an assistant professor at academic level 11 or higher, or 8 years at level 12 or higher, including as an associate professor, with expertise in educational administration. comparable background at research facilities and/or other universities.

or

15 years of administrative experience, including 8 years as a university’s deputy controller of examinations or a position comparable.

Deputy Controller of Examinations :

Total Post : 1

Qualification : Post-Graduate at least 55 % Marks

Salary : 78,800 Rs – 2,11,500 Rs

Experience : At least 9 years of experience in educational management as an assistant professor at academic level 10 or higher. comparable background at research facilities and/or other universities.

or

5 years of experience working as an assistant registrar or in similar positions.

Deputy Register :

Total Post : 1

Qualification : Post-Graduate at least 55% Marks

Salary : 78,800 Rs – 2,11,500 Rs

Experience : 3 years of experience in educational management and at least 9 years as an assistant professor. comparable background at research facilities and/or other universities.

or

5 years of experience working as an assistant registrar or in a similar capacity.

Finance Officer :

Total Post : 1

Qualification : Post-Graduate at least 55% Marks.

Salary : 30,000 Rs – 1,10,000+ Grade Pay 12,700 Rs

Experience : at least 8 years of experience managing finance and accounting in a governmental department, PSU, or research organization.

or

5 years of management-level experience in finance and accounts at a government agency, PSU, or research organization, together with an MBA in finance or a professional degree from ICWAI or ICAI.

The fee must be paid with a non-refundable Demand Draft made payable to the Jagannath Barooah University Fund, State Bank of India, Jorhat Branch (IFSC: SBIN0000104) and drawn in the Registrar’s name at Jagannath Barooah University. Under no circumstances is the fee refunded.
